The Ruth Brend Fund provides financial support to help defray costs of attending LACUS meetings for members from countries with weak currencies.  The Presidents' Prize Fund helps pay for prizes awarded to the best student and post-doctoral papers presented at each annual LACUS conference.

Important Dates.  The following is the planned timeline for LACUS 2021.  Authors of abstracts submitted by March 31, 2021 will be informed of its acceptance or rejection by May 3.

    • Registered participants will receive access to all sessions via Cisco Webex.
    • Participants will be able to access sessions via Webex (free download) or a web browser.
As stated last year, anyone with an abstract accepted for the cancelled 2020 LACUS Conference may carry the acceptance of that paper over by e-mailing the LACUS Program Chair (Douglas.Coleman@utoledo.edu); please identify any updates in author name(s), affiliations, etc.  This option applies only if the author(s) will be presenting the same paper as submitted for 2020 (only minor editorial changes to the previously-accepted abstract will be permitted to carried-over papers).

Presenters are required to be members of LACUS and to be registered for the conference. Regardless of acceptance status, anyone who has not registered and paid registration and membership fees by June 14, 2021 will not have their paper scheduled on the program nor will their abstract be published in the 2021 LACUS Meeting Handbook.  This year, the LACUS Meeting Handbook will be published only in PDF format.  As always, presentation of a paper at LACUS is a prerequisite of submission of that paper to the association's refereed annual journal, the LACUS Forum, for consideration for possible publication.
