Getting to Waterloo
2024 LACUS Annual Conference will be held at the University of Waterloo and St. Jerome’s University. The conference venue is located on St. Jerome’s campus (SJ2 building), 290 Westmount Rd. N, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, N2L3G3.
 
Getting to Waterloo by air
The closest major airport is Pearson International Airport in Toronto, approximately 100 km east of Kitchener-Waterloo. The easiest way to reach Waterloo's main campus directly from the Pearson International Airport is to hire an airport limo or airporter service such as Airways Transit or to rent a car. Alternatively, you can travel by bus or train from Toronto (see “Getting to Waterloo by bus or train”).
The Region of Waterloo International Airport is 20 km from Waterloo's main campus. The airport is served by WestJet. To reach Waterloo's campuses from the Region of Waterloo Airport, you'll need to rent a car or hire a taxi.
 
Getting to Waterloo by bus or train
Greyhound Canada offers bus service to major cities in southern Ontario, including frequent service to Toronto.
GO Transit offers service to Waterloo’s main campus daily from Mississauga and Milton. You can make connections to the entire GO Transit bus and train system at Square One, Mississauga.
A VIA Rail train station is located at 126 Weber Street West in Kitchener, Waterloo's twin city.
 
Driving to Waterloo
  • When travelling from the 401, follow highway 85 and exit at University Avenue West, which is the second University Avenue exit (just past the University Ave East exit).
  • Drive about 3.5 km along University Avenue to Westmount Rd. Take the second UW Campus ln towards Renison/ St. Jerome’s/ Health Services.
 
 
Public transit in Waterloo
Local bus service – provided by Grand River Transit – covers the cities of Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge. If you are taking public transit to the campus, please bring cash for bus fares. There is an ION light rail service stop right on campus, making it easy to travel to and from campus.
